BREAKING NEWS: SEMPIO HAS SPOKEN | He couldn't handle the pressure: here's the official statement from the lawyer in Garlasco

A novelty that could change everything .
Andrea Sempio , the only suspect in the new investigation into the Garlasco crime, did not show up for questioning scheduled for May 20 at the Pavia Courthouse. While Alberto Stasi, definitively sentenced to 16 years for the murder of Chiara Poggi and currently on semi-liberty, entered through a secondary entrance without getting out of his car, Sempio chose the path of failure to appear.
The reason for his absence was a procedural issue: his lawyers raised the issue of the lack of a “fundamental warning” in the summons to appear, and therefore considered the document null and void.
Neither Sempio nor his lawyers appeared at the Prosecutor's Office . The defensive move was accompanied by a post on Instagram by the lawyer Angela Taccia who, with the lawyer Massimo Lovati, defends the suspect: «Hard war without fear», she wrote, adding «CPP we love you», with an ironic reference to the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The lawyers expect a new summons containing the missing warning, but they are ready to resist even a possible forced escort.
New elements emergeWhile Sempio remained outside the courtroom, Stasi was questioned by magistrates for over two hours. According to his lawyer Antonio De Rensis, he answered all the questions, providing clarifications on his relationship with Chiara and his brother Marco's circle of friends. "It was a very positive day," the lawyer said, reiterating his confidence in the investigation conducted by Stefano Civardi, Valentina De Stefano and Giuliana Rizza.
In parallel, Marco Poggi , the victim's brother and Sempio's friend, was also heard in Mestre. His testimony is considered strategic for reconstructing the family context and the acquaintances of the time. In the meantime, new searches between Voghera, Garlasco and Tromello and the dredging of a canal in Tromello led to the discovery of a bricklayer's hammer and other objects, considered potentially relevant.

After years of attention focused on genetic tests, the investigation seems to be shifting toward the hypothesis of multiple people involved in the crime. While waiting for the scientific results, expected in the fall, the magistrates are acquiring new elements that could redraw the dynamics of the case. The position of Sempio, a friend of the victim's brother, could become crucial in the next developments. Lawyer Lovati reiterated: "Andrea is fine, he is following our strategies." Today's absence is not a refusal but part of a well-calculated defense line. The Garlasco crime, after eighteen years, still remains an enigma with many gray areas.
Sempio spoke through his lawyer, with a curious Instagram story that referred to trust in the criminal procedure code. So Sempio's entourage could not stand the pressure to remain silent in this situation.
