Csi Prato shines at the San Marino Master Trophy with nine medals

Csi Prato was coming off the "Memorial Alessandro Natali" of master swimming in Lucca, which had left the Prato club of Angelo Lucianò and Sergio Puggelli with thirty-six medals (in the various categories and competitive specialties) and fourth place overall in the club rankings. And a few days ago, a delegation of the club also participated in the eighteenth edition of the "Trofeo Master San Marino", held in the shadow of the Titan. With good results: several athletes from Prato in fact distinguished themselves in individual and team specialties, managing to take home a total of nine medals (one of which in the most precious metal). Good performances, for example, by Chiara Bonifacio and Elisa Gelli: both won two medals each in different freestyle specialties, respectively a bronze in the 50 meters and a silver in the 200 meters. Rounding out the individual medal table, Anna Manzo won a bronze in the 200-meter freestyle and Ilaria Sforzi the silver in the 50-meter backstroke. The icing on the cake came from Sandra Raggioli, who triumphed in the 200-meter medley, taking home the gold medal. The relays then contributed to enriching the medal table: the quartet composed of Letizia Pratesi, Chiara Bonifacio, Alessandro Lucianò and Giulio Conti won the silver in the 4x50-meter medley M80 style. Another medal, a bronze, finally came from the 4x50-meter medley M80 relay, composed of Sara Russo, Ilaria Sforzi, Chiara Bonifacio and Giulio Conti. "The master group was in fact able to best combine performance in the pool with moments of aggregation and conviviality - commented president Lucianò and technical director Puggelli - creating a positive and cohesive atmosphere among competitors of different ages and experiences". And now attention turns to the next challenge: the CSI will take to the pool again on June 7th in Chianciano, in what promises to be the last commitment of a season that has been positive so far.
