Dazzle, an AI assistant for Marissa Mayer too

Dazzle is the name of the new business venture launched by Marissa Mayer . According to WIRED, the company was recently incorporated and will absorb all the assets controlled by Sunshine, another company she founded in 2018 and slated for closure (responsible, among other things, for the Shine app ). The transition will require approval from investors, including co-founder Enrique Muñoz Torres.
Marissa Mayer Launches Dazzle: Focus on AINeedless to say, the focus will be on artificial intelligence . Although there are no official announcements yet, rumors point to an AI assistant . It will face some very fierce competition, with big names like OpenAI making a strong presence known. This is an excerpt from the leaked email.
After careful consideration, Sunshine management and 99.99% of its shareholders determined that the most sound path for the company's future was to sell to Dazzle AI, a newly formed company with committed funding.
The approximately 15 employees currently working at Sunshine should all find a new home within Dazzle. The Shine app we mentioned at the beginning never caught on: it was dedicated to creating shared photo albums, not exactly an area lacking in alternatives.
Two other apps launched are Sunshine Contacts , for organizing your address book, and Sunshine Birthdays , for remembering birthdays and sending greetings. In short, not the height of originality.
Mayer can be counted among the veterans of the online world. In 1999, she was Google 's 20th employee, significantly contributing to the company's growth over the next decade and a half, working on projects such as Maps, Earth, Gmail, and iGoogle (few remember it, but it was a personalized page displayed when opening the browser). From 2012 to 2017, she was CEO of Yahoo !, before embarking on a new adventure with Sunshine.
