Fiorello's home was robbed: the TV host's Roman villa was burglarized, with thieves escaping with €300,000 in loot.

A sensational heist, with an estimated haul of around 300 thousand euros . The villa of Rosario Fiorello , the beloved TV host, was burgled last night in Rome .

A gang of professional thieves broke into the showman's home in Via della Camilluccia , in the capital, bypassing the alarm system and stealing watches and jewellery .

Il Messaggero wrote about it today. A cleaning lady who had the keys to the house noticed everything: Rosario Fiorello's family was out of town at the time of the robbery.

According to initial investigations conducted by Rome's Flying Squad, the thieves entered through a French window : no fingerprints were found inside the villa because the bandits used latex gloves.

The cleaning lady was interviewed by investigators as per standard procedure: she explained to the Flying Squad how the alarm system worked and carefully described the various rooms in the house. According to Il Messaggero, investigators are focusing their attention on gangs of professional thieves , and the possibility of a mole who may have provided the bandits with a tip on the valuables in Fiorello's home hasn't been ruled out at this time.

This is the fourth robbery Fiorello has suffered at Camilluccia's home . In 2008, he spoke of three other burglaries and said he had his house secured and was living "a prison life," but evidently that wasn't enough.
