Fire Chief Mistreated Ex: 45-Year-Old Fasano Man Suspended

After being sentenced to three years in prison for mistreatment, in recent days Saverio Francesco Angiulli, 45, commander of the local police of Campi Salentina, from Fasano, was suspended from service. Mayor Alfredo Fina, after having acquired the opinion of the Legal Office of the Municipality, came to the determination that the commander of the Municipal Police should be suspended from his position. This is because, in addition to the sentence of three years in prison, the Court of Brindisi also imposed on Angiulli a five-year ban from holding public office.
Having arrived in Campi Salentina, after having held the position of commander of the local police in other municipalities of Salento, Saverio Francesco Angiulli was subsequently put on trial for mistreatment. The sentence of the Court of Brindisi arrived about ten days ago. Having read the ruling - the judge reserved the publication of the reasons - the mayor of Campi Salentina, having acquired the opinion of the Municipal Attorney, proceeded to suspend the 45-year-old from Fasano from service.
