Free dermatological consultations for its employees: the initiative of the Alta company

The skin is the largest organ in our body and performs numerous important functions, such as a protective “barrier”, helps maintain the right body temperature, is the seat of the sense of touch, “breathes” by exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide with the outside and where, thanks to UV rays, the maturation of vitamin D begins. In Italy, 169,900 people live with a previous diagnosis of melanoma (Source: Airtum-Aiom Report). Keeping it healthy is essential for the well-being of the entire organism.

Fila Solutions, increasingly focused on the health and well-being of its employees and collaborators, has introduced dermatological consultations in the "Care4You Project" with Fondazione Umberto Veronesi ETS. This year, free consultations for the prevention of melanoma have been planned for 6 and 7 May 2025, at the headquarters in San Martino di Lupari. 40 visits were carried out over the course of each day, for a total of 80 visits over the two days. A mobile unit equipped with a double clinic and examination room was used to carry out the service, managed by a staff composed of a dermatologist and an assistant in charge of acceptance and reception. The dermatological consultation made it possible to verify the presence or absence of skin-related pathologies, specifically, to diagnose pigmented skin pathologies, allergic skin diseases and viral skin pathologies. Thanks to a primary evaluation of the moles present, the patient with suspicion was advised to book a dermatological visit to investigate the problem further.
