Historical archery. Alessia Fagiani ready for the European and World Championships.

July 13, 2025

After the national title, the blue jersey arrives for her.
Consistency and a passion for historical archery have brought two important results to Monia Fagiani, a native of Montegiorgio who recently became the Italian historical archery champion. She will be part of the Italian delegation for the two major events in the specialty. Fagiani has been called up to the Italian national historical archery team to participate in the Historical Archery World Championships, to be held in Gyula, Hungary, from August 20th to 26th, and recently to participate in the European Championships in Hunting Archery, to be held in Spišské Vlachy, Slovenia, from August 10th to 16th. The difference was made in the national selection competition, held on June 28th and 29th, where Fagiani not only won her category by a margin, but also demonstrated great concentration and determination. Today and tomorrow, the shooter from Montegiorgio will be officially presented in Bevagna (Perugia), along with the other fifteen Italian champions who will be part of the Italian delegation to these two major sporting events. The training camp is also an essential opportunity to lay the tactical and strategic foundations for the sporting endeavors that await the members of the national team, as well as a good opportunity for collective training and team building. "It took me a while to realize that I've achieved two of my biggest dreams, which came almost simultaneously," says Monia Fagiani. "I never thought I'd be able to make it to both national teams. Now I have a huge commitment ahead of me, but I'm proud and honored to represent Italy."
