Jordi Cruijff new technical director of Indonesian national team: he finds Patrick Kluivert
The son of the legendary Johan Cruijff will reunite with former Ajax and Milan centre forward Patrick Kluivert, coach of the red and whites.
Jordi Cruijff , former Barcelona and Manchester United striker and son of the late Johan, will begin a new experience in Indonesia : the former Dutch footballer has in fact become the technical director of the national team , coached by former Ajax footballer Patrick Kluivert .
Patrick Kluivert has taken over as Indonesia's national coach from the start of 2025. Previously, he coached the Curaçao national team and served as assistant coach alongside former AC Milan player Clarence Seedorf at Cameroon. Now, Jordi Cruijff has been officially appointed as the new technical director of Merah Putih (red and white).
The words of Erick Thohir , former owner of Inter Milan and president of PSSI (Indonesian Football Federation): "We are proud to welcome Jordi Cruijff. His experience as a player and coach will be very important to build the future of Indonesian football. Frankly, it is not easy to bring a figure with good qualities like his. So we must appreciate this fact very much because he is very serious about wanting to advance our football".
Kluivert also commented on the arrival of Johan's son: "Having a qualified figure like Jordi in the federation will give a rapid boost to the development of Indonesian football. I look forward to working with him to strengthen Indonesian football and push Indonesian players to reach new heights."
