Manfredonia, a water main burst in Siponto: water supply suspended.

This morning, Manfredonia , particularly Siponto , was affected by the sudden breakage of a water main serving part of the town. The failure, described by technicians as "unforeseeable," necessitated urgent intervention by the Apulian Aqueduct , which has been working since the early hours of the morning to restore water supply.

Affected area and possible lack of water

To allow for the repair of the damaged pipeline, it was necessary to temporarily interrupt the water service in a well-defined area of the hamlet, between Via Lungomare del Sole and Viale dei Pini .

Those most affected may be those without a booster pump or adequate water supplies , or those with tanks insufficient to cover demand during shutdown hours. Water supply should return to normal by late this morning , barring any unforeseen technical issues.

Recommendation to residents: responsible consumption

While waiting for the service to be fully restored , Acquedotto Pugliese has appealed to residents in the affected area to limit their consumption to priority needs only, avoiding waste or non-urgent uses.

"Consumption trends," the technicians point out, "are a crucial variable in reducing the impact of the outage and preventing further grid issues."

The intervention teams, coming from the headquarters in Bari , will continue to operate non-stop until the fault is completely resolved , constantly monitoring the pressure and flow in the secondary network.
