Pension reform 2025/ Crucial knowledge for young people (latest news 4 June)

Giorgia Meloni recalled that social security is a crucial issue that should not only be addressed when approaching retirement age, but should be considered as soon as one enters the job market. For the Premier, it is therefore essential for young people to know the principles of the social security system and the tools that can allow them to make informed choices related to their future. In this sense, the work that INPS can do and that it has proposed to do is crucial, especially since Gabriele Fava took over as its president. In fact, it was he who wanted to focus on specific and direct communication to young people, which today is expressed in the project “INPS for young people”.
A multi-channel communication campaign will therefore be launched that will also involve influencers and the website dedicated to the project is already online where young people can find specific information on the services offered by INPS based on their situation (students, workers or unemployed). Fava, on the occasion of the presentation of the project, recalled that broadening the employment base by involving young people is essential to guarantee the sustainability of the pension system and launched the proposal of a generational pact with them, based on listening, trust and co-responsibility. We will then see what initiatives will be implemented over time by INPS along these lines.
