Referendum: 22% turnout at 11pm, Tuscany leads in participation


Turnout of 22% for the referendum at 11pm, with Tuscany at 29.9% and Trentino Alto Adige at 16.13% among the highest abstentions.
The turnout for the 5 referendum questions , at 11 pm, is around 22%. This is what can be read on the website of the Ministry of the Interior . The polling stations closed at 11 pm and will reopen at 7 am to remain open until 3 pm. The gap in voters between the 5 referendum questions is minimal. At 11 pm, 22.4% voted for the first one on work, the one for the reinstatement of unlawful dismissals. The second one, on dismissals and limit on compensation, was 22.37%. The third one, on the protection of fixed-term contracts, was 22.40%. The fourth one, on liability for accidents at work, was 22.36%. The fifth one, on citizenship, was 22.24%. The region where the most people voted for the referendums was Tuscany with 29.9%. Closely followed by Emilia Romagna with 28.76%. Among the most abstained, however, are Trentino Alto Adige with 16.13%, Calabria with 16.25% and Sicily with 16.48%. Among the most active is also Liguria with 25.42%.
