Rugby at Vingone, we're ready. The city council has approved the guidelines for entrusting management of the municipal sports facility to Scandicci Rugby for the development of the sport. The agreement provides for both competitive and non-competitive activities, including introductory courses, training, participation in championships, and the organization of tournaments, competitions, and sporting events. But rugby won't be the only sport, as the resolution also includes opening the field to physical and social activities of significant public interest. These include activities for the disabled and the elderly, physical training for pre-teens and adolescents, and projects with schools and summer camps.

The concession to manage the facility will last one year, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. "The administration is moving forward by placing sport at the center of its priorities, and this decision further confirms this," explains Councilor for Sport Salvatore Saltarello. "We are convinced that physical activity is a tool for growth, inclusion, and social cohesion. The decision to dedicate the Vingone facility primarily to rugby stems from the desire to support a rapidly growing sport, capable of instilling fundamental values such as respect, teamwork, and loyalty. Scandicci boasts a tradition of excellence even in less media-rich sports, which have succeeded in establishing themselves at the regional and national level thanks to the passion of athletes, coaches, and clubs." The Vingone pitch was awarded to the oval ball club after the resignation of the Scandicci football club.
