Sammichele di Bari: The road is too narrow, resulting in a bus getting stuck.

So how do we get out of this bottleneck? That's what the driver of a bus might have thought, stuck with no way to maneuver. The long, cumbersome vehicle was coming from Via della Resistenza the other evening shortly before 11:00 PM and was attempting to turn left onto Via IV Novembre. At that point, the roadway is so narrow that even a small vehicle can barely pass. Someone took the photos, which were later posted on the Facebook group Sammichele 2.0. The driver was forced to reverse down the entire length of Via della Resistenza because the side streets are too narrow for a bus to pass.
The location is the same as that of two outdoor terraces between Via della Resistenza and Via IV Novembre. In front of a popular grill restaurant on Via della Resistenza, the business has an outdoor area that, until June 13th, hosted tables and chairs for customers who enjoy lively evenings with traditional zampina dinners. On the morning of June 14th, the Carabinieri of the Bari Cultural Heritage Protection Unit, in compliance with a precautionary seizure order from the Public Prosecutor's Office, posted a notice notifying the seizure.
This is a structure that was originally intended to be temporary and has since become a permanent one. All municipal permits for the use of public land are in place, but one from the Superintendency is missing, partly because it is located in the historic center, with the outdoor area adjacent to a property deemed valuable. The Prosecutor's Office is investigating for violation of the Consolidated Law on Environmental and Cultural Heritage. The seizure order falls within this context. Since the seized outdoor area could not be used the following day, a second outdoor area was authorized immediately after the turnoff from Via della Resistenza onto Via IV Novembre. This significantly narrowed the roadway, making it difficult for vehicles to pass. For this second outdoor area, there is an ordinance from the local police of Sammichele signed on July 25th in which the commander "orders from August 1st to September 10th a ban on stopping on Via IV Novembre for the entire stretch on the right side and for the stretch between numbers 1 and 7 on the left side, allowing parking in the stretch between numbers 9 and 11".
If parking were allowed, the roadway would be completely blocked. Meanwhile, a hearing was held on July 7th at the Court of Review to discuss the request for release of the first seized outdoor area, but the owner of the grill restaurant says a ruling has not yet been reached.
