Sesto San Giovanni: A young man dies in a fire in his apartment, possibly killed and set on fire.

Investigations underway

A 20-year-old boy is the victim of a fire that broke out during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday 23 July in Sesto San Giovanni , in the Milanese hinterland, in via Umberto Fogagnolo.
The fire broke out shortly before 4 a.m. in a ground-floor apartment of a four-story building. The alarm was raised when the victim's neighbors saw smoke and called the police.
The Sesto San Giovanni firefighters responded to the scene, evacuating the building and clearing the area. Emergency services and the forensic police also assisted in carrying out surveys. This morning, around 9:00 a.m., the families were able to return to their apartments.
But the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office is seeking a more thorough investigation into the blaze that claimed the life of the still-unidentified 20-year-old, who was found half-charred . According to the Corriere di Milano, there were multiple people in the apartment that caught fire: police suspect the young man may have been killed and then set on fire . For this reason, prosecutor Marco Santini went to the scene to further investigate.
