Swimming without barriers, a Sunday to grow together in the name of Antonio Bruno and Gianfranco Ciavarella

A pool open to all, without barriers, to learn to look at differences as a wealth and not as an obstacle. Sunday 15 June 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, at the municipal swimming pool on Viale Luigi Pinto in Foggia, a special morning dedicated to inclusion, sport and friendship will be held. The event, entitled “Memorial Antonio Bruno – Gianfranco Ciavarella. Swimming without barriers” , is promoted by ACSD Pentotary in collaboration with the association Il Posto Felice .
A tub for everyone, without differencesThe aim of the event is to involve citizens in a concrete experience of shared growth. The heart of the initiative consists in the possibility, for anyone who wishes, to swim for free and freely together with the disabled children who usually frequent the sports facility. An opportunity to get closer, get to know each other and break down stereotypes and prejudices through a simple and natural gesture like swimming.
The invitation is open to everyone: children, families, athletes, the curious. To participate, no registration or special requirements are needed, just the desire to be together, learn about new realities and share a moment of authentic human contact.
A message that goes beyond sport“Swimming without barriers” is also a way to remember Antonio Bruno and Gianfranco Ciavarella , two figures dear to the Foggia community, who have always been close to the values of inclusion and support for the most vulnerable. The Memorial dedicated to them intends to preserve and relaunch their message through a universal language such as that of sport.
“Entrance to the pool will be free,” explain the organizers, “to allow everyone to experience special moments with our extraordinary kids. We look forward to seeing you there. Help us spread the word about this initiative: thank you so much!”
An appeal that calls upon collective sensitivity and invites the city to become an active part of a project that is not only sporting, but profoundly cultural and social. Because only by recognizing and valuing differences can a truly inclusive community be built.
