The municipal police report: over one hundred stolen vehicles recovered

Over 100 stolen vehicles. These are the ones recovered since the beginning of the year by the Municipal Police Department during patrols.
Specifically, 102 vehicles were intercepted in transit, 42 of which resulted in reports of receiving stolen goods (6 of which involved multiple people). The remaining vehicles were recovered while parked, while in one case, officers foiled the theft by catching the perpetrators red-handed.
In addition to the charges for receiving stolen goods, six additional charges were filed for resisting a public official and two for illegal possession of offensive instruments. Sixteen people were caught driving without a license and were therefore fined administratively or criminally as repeat offenders. Fifteen owners of vehicles recovered in transit who had not yet noticed the theft, which had occurred shortly before, filed a complaint.
"These numbers demonstrate the tremendous work our Municipal Police do across the region," emphasized Florence's Councilor for Security, Andrea Giorgio. "A round of applause goes to the officers of the Autoreparto and the entire Municipal Police force for their daily commitment."
