The Rome Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the attempted extortion of Raoul Bova.

Actor Raoul Bova was allegedly blackmailed over his intimate chats and audio recordings with model and influencer Martina Ceretti. The Rome Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the case for attempted extortion.

The story began a few weeks ago, when Bova received a text message from an unknown number on his cell phone. The unknown sender warned the actor that certain intimate conversations could be leaked, potentially damaging him. However, Bova didn't respond, and a few days later, on July 21st, the chats with 23-year-old Ceretti became public. Fabrizio Corona shared them on his podcast Falsissimo.

According to the investigation, conducted by the Postal Police and coordinated by Prosecutor Eliana Dolce, the number from which the attempted blackmail was sent appears to be registered to a front man. The case is against persons unknown, and Corona is not under investigation. However, prosecutors are also considering the possibility of receiving stolen goods; if the person who distributed the content was aware of its illicit origin, they may have committed a crime.

The publication of the actor's chats has recently caused a backlash in his relationship with his partner, Rocío Muñoz Morales. According to their respective lawyers—David Leggi for Bova and Antonio Conte for Muñoz Morales—the couple, after 12 years of relationship, are seeking an out-of-court settlement to avoid public conflict and protect their two daughters.
