Tragedy in a pizzeria, Rebecca dies at 29 during the end of school year dinner

And she was having dinner with her classmates and teachers from the Cosmai Institute in Bisceglie, on the seafront, to celebrate the end of the school year. An evening like many others, lived with a smile. But Rebecca , 29 years old, originally from Trani, was struck down by a sudden cardiac arrest, a complication of the rare McLeod's neuroacanthocytosis syndrome from which she suffered. The illness came on around 10 pm. Two nurses present in the restaurant intervened immediately, followed by the 118 health workers who arrived on the scene in just three minutes from the Bisceglie station. Despite attempts to resuscitate the young woman, there was nothing that could be done.
“This is how Rebecca left us,” the school wrote, “smiling, incredibly in love with life, which had not spared her suffering. She left us in a few moments, among her classmates and teachers, to whom she was so attached. We will miss her laughter and her strength.” A classmate also wanted to remember her: “She was as beautiful as the sun, cheerful, a clown doctor with a great desire to give and receive love. I am still in disbelief, the news shocked me. Goodbye Reby.” She loved dancing, company and life. Just a few days ago, on social media, Rebecca wrote: “Thank you for existing. With your strength and courage you are helping me overcome my obstacles. I love you,” next to a colorful photo with the words “strength,” “family,” “courage,” “I’ll make it.” (AGI)
