US Attack on Iran, Trump Strikes. Tehran: "Now It's War"

(Adnkronos) – The United States attacks Iran and hits the country's three main nuclear sites. President Donald Trump, in the Italian night, announces the success of the operation: "The Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan sites have been completely destroyed". The attack, carried out with B-2 bombers and the launch of Tomahawk missiles, marks the entry of the United States into the war against Iran, alongside Israel. For Trump, this is the raid that must end the conflict: "Iran must make peace. Any reprisals will lead to even more massive attacks from us".
Iran’s official reaction came in the words of Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. “In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions that allow for legitimate defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, its interests and its people,” the minister said. “This morning’s events are shameful and will have everlasting consequences. Every single member of the United Nations must be alarmed by this extremely dangerous, illegal and criminal behavior,” he added.
Shortly afterward, Tehran's official position was reiterated in a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The United States was accused of launching "a dangerous war against Iran." The attacks - Tehran continued - constitute a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law and the United States government "takes full responsibility for the grave consequences and terrible repercussions of this heinous crime."
It is “Iran's legitimate right to fully and resolutely resist US military aggression and the crimes committed by this rogue regime and to defend Iran's security and national interests by all means necessary,” it continues, urging the UN and its various bodies, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the nuclear watchdog, to “urgently address this flagrant and criminal act of lawlessness.”
In the early hours of Sunday, June 22, Iran responds with a wave of 25-30 missiles against Israel. Alarms sound in Tel Aviv, explosions are recorded in Jerusalem. In the end, at least 86 people are injured.
