Volleyball - The Adf supporters oppose Uyba's season ticket campaign: "We feel betrayed." - Sports - Varese News

The launch of Uyba Volley's new season ticket campaign for the 2025/26 season ( read here ) prompted an immediate and harsh reaction from the "Curva AdF," the historic fan group that has been cheering the team on for years. In a statement released a few hours ago, the AdF (Friends of the Butterflies) announced the "very painful" decision not to renew season tickets for next season, suggesting their presence in the stands may be lost.
At the center of the criticism is the "senseless and incomprehensible" approach to the new season ticket policy , which eliminates the division into sectors and imposes a single price. This decision, according to fans, effectively equates the popular section of the Curva with the more prestigious sponsor/VIP section, resulting in a significant increase in costs for those who usually watch matches from the stands.
The group also expressed deep disappointment over the failure to listen to their requests: "Despite our attempts during the preseason meeting we requested, we received only negative responses . We feel betrayed by a club that doesn't recognize the loyalty we've shown after more than 15 years of dedication, travel, sacrifice, and boundless passion."

Despite the announcement of their withdrawal, the Curva AdF hasn't completely closed the door to a possible mediation: "Our openness to dialogue remains unchanged," they emphasize. The message concludes with a thank you to those who have always supported the group and a hope: to be able to return to cheer on their "favorite" team in that curve, which, they say, "has been and we hope will continue to be truly beautiful."
The full press release from the AdF groupHello everyone, starting today, the "CURVA ADF" WILL PROBABLY NO LONGER EXIST!!! This difficult decision was made following the release of what we believe to be a SENSELESS and INCOMPREHENSIBLE season ticket campaign launched by the club... We are fully aware of the management difficulties and fully understand the need to adjust prices due to the increased costs; but first and foremost, we DON'T UNDERSTAND how anyone can even think of comparing season tickets in the sponsor/VIP section (the stands: discounted by over €50) with those in the fan section (the curve: practically doubled); We find the way in which this proposal was presented to us absolutely INCORRECT: with things already effectively decided and without the possibility of finding a mediation (despite the attempt made during the pre-season meeting, requested by us, in which our requests for adjustments for the reductions we received only negative responses); we feel BETRAYED by a company that DOES NOT even recognize the loyalty shown after over 15 years of Dedication, Travels, Sacrifices, Boundless and Unconditional Passion, but which is fundamentally treating us like the first comer (despite the beautiful words and promises made last season and not kept to date) ... For these main reasons but also for other reasons, and by mutual agreement between all of us, except for some fundamental second thoughts on the part of the company (our willingness to dialogue remains unchanged), we have therefore decided that WE WILL NOT RENEW THE SEASON TICKET!!! A Very, Very Painful decision that, in addition to us, also penalizes those who ultimately are not to blame, namely the TEAM…We still feel compelled to thank those who have truly believed in us thus far, allowing us to be present everywhere (within our means) and for allowing us to be part of what was once a beautiful and great FAMILY and, above all, to do what we ALL love to do: SUPPORT our FAVORITE TEAM; while for others, evidently, we have now become nothing more than a burden!!! We would like to point out, however, that our desire remains to continue to be part of this group that is UYBA and we would like to continue to be the SEVENTH MAN on the pitch who sometimes even manages to make the difference… In our new home, the CURVA ADF, we truly had a lot of fun, and we would like to continue doing so because it was and we hope it will continue to be truly wonderful!!!
