Ducal Palace on the Via Guidoni side

Work on the first phase of the project on the Via Guidoni side of the Palazzo Ducale in Massa will begin in September. The project is expected to last one year. The tender process concluded on July 29th, identifying the company that will be awarded the work once the required checks have been completed. This Tuscan firm has long specialized in this type of project. The total cost is nearly €790,000, of which €640,000 is for tender-based work. It should be noted that a previous tender process for the first phase had already been conducted, awarding the work. However, during the execution phase, it became necessary to terminate the contract and therefore call a new tender process after a project review and updated cost estimates. This new tender process was launched because only one company had participated in the previous one.

Regarding the second lot , covering the remaining portion of the Doge's Palace, based on available funding (over €4.275 million), the executive design and construction management have been entrusted to a group of professionals consisting of architect Anna Della Tommasina, engineers Massimo Badalassi and Matteo Marchetti, and surveyor Tiziana Marrazzo. The project is currently being drafted and will be approved by the end of 2025; the tender process for the contract will begin in early 2026.
