Zanella: «Let's forget that young people repeat their parents' sacrifices»

It is not true that we no longer want to work… The fact is that we no longer want to work like this”. Silvia Zanella, an expert on the future of work, writes this in her latest book Basta lavoro così (Bompiani), a manual for finding “a happy balance between life and work” in a world in which work has taken on a new meaning in the perimeter of our lives.

The change, the author explains, "has been accelerated by technology and the pandemic, which have dismantled old habits and leadership models." But "the final blow has been dealt by the new generations, who don't want to work anymore. Simply, since the worker-company pact has been broken, they are no longer willing to accept a certain culture in the face of precariousness, low wages and a lack of prospects."
