Fifty years of Fai. This is how the Quartet makes the villas sound

Violinist Francesca Bonaita will play with pianist Mikhail Mordvinov
“Fifty years of beauty that plays”: this is the title of a review organized to celebrate the half century of the Fai-Fondo per l'ambiente italiano , in collaboration with the Società del Quartetto . From June 28 to September 20, historic homes, churches and villas cared for with passion by the Fai will become musical stages.
"This synergy between the Società del Quartetto and the Fai, an institution born from the foresight of Giulia Maria Crespi back in 1975, represents an exceptional opportunity to experience classical music in contexts of extraordinary value and beauty; a new and engaging way to celebrate fifty years of commitment to the protection and enhancement of the wonders of our country", declares Ilaria Borletti Buitoni, president of the Società del Quartetto foundation of Milan.
The first appointment is Saturday 28 June at 6.30 pm, in the elegance of Villa Necchi Campiglio (in the centre of Milan) which will host the meeting between the virtuosity of Francesca Bonaita on the violin and the mastery of Mikhail Mordvinov on the piano, in a programme that will wander from Beethoven with the Kreutzer Sonata (no. 9 in A major op. 47) which inspired the novel of the same name by Tolstoy, through the mystery of Kreisler, up to the refinements of Ravel.
The event continues on Saturday 19 July, again at 6:30 p.m., this time at Villa Panza (Varese) with the sounds of the Trio Hermes. On Saturday 6 September, the sacredness of the church of San Sebastiano in Villa Fogazzaro Roi (Oria, Como) will welcome the Alinde Quartet, Eugenia Ottaviano and Guglielmo Dandolo Marchesi, violins, Gregor Hrabar, viola, Bartolomeo Dandolo Marchesi, cello. Finally, on Saturday 20 September, Palazzo Moroni (Bergamo) will be the stage for the melodies of Eugenio Della Chiara's guitar, in the vibrant compositions of Torroba, De Falla and Turina.
