Re-Portraits / Re-discovered. Super8 Images Reproduced on Canvas

Re-tracted, re-discovered, a unique immersive experience on the occasion of the Lecco Film Fest 2025. The exhibition Re-tracted / Re-discovered will be inaugurated next Wednesday on the ground floor of the Torre Viscontea in Lecco, to rediscover and restore value to a heritage of memories considered lost, such as amateur films and family clips in Super8 and 8mm. The aim is to reactivate private and collective memory through images and gestures, transforming the memory into a living work of art through a live performance, curated by Ilaria Pezone , the heart of the exhibition. The artists present, in fact, will take care of tracing the images of the Super8 films, working on a shared canvas to capture fragments of the memory that fades as the film continues. The public will be invited on an immersive journey, walking in the dim light through a space set up like a labyrinth, a metaphor for the recesses of the mind. The exhibition, with free admission, will be open until Sunday 6 July with the following hours: Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm, Friday and Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
