The unions, Filcams Cgil Rimini, Fisascat Cisl Romagna and Uiltucs Uil Emilia-Romagna, have declared a state of agitation
Rimini - June 26, 2025 - Eurospin Tirrenica spa workers at the Morciano and Rimini offices are ready to strike if dialogue with the company does not lead to changes in working conditions.
The unions Filcams Cgil Rimini, Fisascat Cisl Romagna and Uiltucs Uil Emilia-Romagna, together with the company union representatives, have declared a state of agitation.
The climate is heating up after the company reportedly failed to intervene on a series of problems raised by employees, reported on two different occasions, on February 27 and March 17. Among the most serious critical issues complained about by the trade unions are also the "behavior of the new area inspector ; undue pressure on the availability to work on holidays ; forced transfers ; excessively invasive checks , including phone calls to workers during bathroom breaks ; improper tasks assigned to untrained or unsuitable staff; incorrect management of night shifts". In addition to the problems with the company, there are also those with customers with " verbal aggression by customers against workers (often women) also caused by chronic understaffing".
Furthermore, “the workers, many of whom are mothers, report a hostile and stressful working environment, aggravated by ignored requests for part-time work, lack of training and work management oriented solely towards maximum productivity, to the detriment of health and safety”.
The workers are no longer willing to work under these conditions and "in the absence of a concrete response from the company management within the indicated timeframe, the unions reserve the right to activate all necessary forms of mobilization, including a strike".
