Heat emergency already, pre-alert expected in 9 cities

The heat wave bulletin projections of the Ministry of Health
Summer has yet to arrive but the heat could already become an emergency in a weather pattern dominated by the anticyclone. The mercury column is rising in several Italian cities, especially in the Center-North. This is revealed by the heat wave bulletin that the Ministry of Health has started updating again in recent days and which is starting to turn from green (risk 0) to yellow.
Cities at riskLevel 1 of pre-alert - a warning of "weather conditions that may precede the occurrence of a heat wave", a sign that "in the following days it is likely that conditions that pose a risk to health may occur ", as the ministry explains - will affect 4 cities (Bolzano, Florence, Perugia and Rome) according to the 48-hour forecast, while the 72-hour projections show 9 cities with a yellow dot: Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Florence, Milan, Perugia, Rome, Turin and Verona.
To communicate the possible health effects of heat waves, the ministry prepares daily bulletins for 27 cities, with 24, 48 and 72-hour forecasts, according to the dedicated page on the ministry's website. Bulletins are published on the portal every year from May to September. Bulletins are updated from Monday to Friday, at 11 am and can also be consulted on the 'Caldo e Salute' App, available for Android devices on Google Play.
