The top 10 Italian newspapers have shown a less consistent trend (but we can broaden the discussion to the top 20): they are all down, some even by double-digit percentages or close to them, except Il Fatto Quotidiano , which is growing. This is the verdict issued by the latest ADS data ( total individual sales ) in a year-on-year comparison, i.e., June 2025 (estimated) vs. June 2024 .

Corriere della Sera confirms its leadership in the rankings but falls below the 200,000 mark in terms of total individual sales, going from 211,377 to 198,504 (-6.1%)

In second place is La Repubblica which loses the threshold of 100 thousand copies: from 107,851 to 95,732 (-11.2%)

Third place goes to La Gazzetta dello Sport , which contained the decline: from 89,435 to 87,248 (-2.4%)

At the foot of the podium is Il Sole 24 Ore which in June 2024 was at 85,867 and for a year has remained above the 80,000 mark with 80,792 (-5.9%)

La Stampa maintains its 60,000 copies, but drops from 67,329 to 60,095 (-10.7%)

Il Fatto Quotidiano , as mentioned, is the only newspaper with a + sign thanks to its 52,771 copies compared to 51,502 in 2024 (+2.5%)

Qn - IL Resto del Carlino follows, going from 54,009 to 47,921 (-11.3%)

Il Messaggero drops from 46,708 to 42,173 (-9.7%)

Il Gazzettino drops by 8.6% with the current 32,819 compared to 35,892 twelve months ago.

Following in its wake is Corriere dello Sport , which has gained 32,294 readers, losing little compared to the 33,592 of June 2024 (-4.9%).
