Arezzo, 8 July 2025 – “I ask for clarification on the position of the director of the Arezzo InTour Foundation in light of the return of municipal personnel seconded to the foundations”.
note from city councilor Michele Menchetti.
“Returning to the issue of the personnel employed by the Municipality of Arezzo who were initially seconded to the Guido d'Arezzo and Arezzo InTour Foundations and then recently returned to the municipal administration, all that remains is to take note of the fact that all municipal employees have returned to their offices after years of service spent at the aforementioned organizations.
Already last May 29, I filed a question on the subject, to which no one has yet responded. Over a month later, the perception of a generalized flight from the foundations has even strengthened.
In light of these developments, I once again urge the mayor and the competent councilors to obtain clarifications, also asking the following questions: has the temporary manager of the Arezzo InTour Foundation, an employee of the Municipality of Arezzo, also backtracked? If so, I would like to know since when, to which municipal office he was assigned and with what duties. If, on the contrary, he remained in the foundation, I ask whether in the meantime he perhaps resigned from the Municipality. In my opinion, he cannot maintain a dual position, remaining a municipal employee with the related union guarantees and at the same time holding the management position at the foundation. Unless there are specific regulations and motivations that can legally and appropriately support a treatment account that configures, if nothing else, disparity compared to other municipal employees. It is appropriate to clarify. On this appointment, moreover, I have already requested access to the documents and exposed the issue to the competent authorities for the appropriate checks".
