"The antenna on Via Sicilia? If there had been a plan that regulates installations, it wouldn't have been there"

Arezzo, May 14, 2025 – «The antenna on Via Sicilia? If there had been a plan regulating installations, it wouldn't have been there»
We have been asking Councilor Lucherini for years to draft a new master plan for antennas.
Technology is now part of our daily life and it is physiological that there is a need to install new antennas; a public administrator, however, must be able to protect citizens as much as possible and this can only be done by identifying specific areas where to install antennas in order to guarantee the service where really necessary and limit the inconvenience to a minimum.
At this time any telephone company is free to reach an agreement with private individuals and install a new antenna wherever it wants, wherever it is most convenient for it.
There are citizens and businesses in the hamlets without a signal, such as Chiassa Superiore, who have been asking for years for the installation of a mobile phone antenna but the Municipality has never managed to have it installed.
Unfortunately, it was possible and foreseeable that the TAR would confirm the legitimacy of the installation in via Sicilia, but what leaves us astonished is that only now, the Ghinelli Council, through the candidate in pectore of Councilor Tanti, is actively interested in the citizens and is thinking about appealing to the Council of State.
Why didn't the Ghinelli council take any action until the Via Sicilia committee was formed?
Why didn't the Tanti/Lucherini couple wake up earlier and approve the master plan for the antennas, thus preventing the installation of new antennas close to the houses?
Less talk, less appearances and more work from the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors, given the generous salaries they receive and which annually weigh on the pockets of citizens for over 800,000.00 euros.
