How to voteThe mayor and the city council are voted on a single ballot .
The ballot paper shows the name and surname of the candidates, the symbols indicate the candidates who support them, flanked by the lines to express the two preferential votes for the councilor candidates (respecting the alternation of gender). The order of the candidates on the ballot paper is determined by drawing lots.
The voter can cast a vote: only for the candidate for mayor; for a list connected to the mayoral candidate, thus casting a vote for the candidate; for one or two councilor candidates, expressing preferences in the appropriate spaces on the ballot paper.

The second preference must respect the alternation of gender and indicate a candidate included in the same list. The vote is also considered attributed to the list and the associated mayoral candidate.
Split voteIn municipalities with more than 15,000 inhabitants, you can vote for a mayor and an unconnected list.
