Administrative elections, nine Sicilian municipalities go to the polls on Sunday and Monday

Nine Sicilian municipalities are called to renew their administrative bodies on May 25 and 26. The voters involved are 55,608. Voting operations will take place on Sunday, from 7 to 23 and Monday, from 7 to 15.
The following municipalities, all under special administration, are interested in electing the mayor and members of the municipal councils: Realmonte, in the province of Agrigento; Montemaggiore Belsito and Prizzi, in the province of Palermo; Solarino, in the province of Syracuse; Favignana, in the province of Trapani; while, in the province of Catania, Castiglione di Sicilia, Palagonia, Raddusa and Ramacca are called to the polls. Only in one, Palagonia, will the seats be assigned with the proportional system, since the inhabitants are more than 15 thousand, in all the other administrations the vote will be with the majority system.
The possible runoff is scheduled for Sunday 8 June, again from 7 am to 11 pm, and Monday 9 June from 7 am to 3 pm, coinciding with the referendum round.
