Antonio Tajani meets with Rubio in Washington: "We'll negotiate tariffs head-on."

"We support the Commission's position, trying to offer good ideas, while also working in the interests of Italian products and our industry, which must not be harmed by a tariff agreement," Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said in a statement to RAI in Washington before his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. "We want to reach an agreement, we want to negotiate with our heads held high, but we know full well that working together and ultimately creating a large Europe-United States-Canada-Mexico market without tariffs is the great dream we must realize. And we must start with the first step, which is the agreement with the United States," he added.
