Ars motion on Gaza, Marano (M5s) asks for humanitarian corridor for Palestinians

The regional deputy's speech in the Chamber during the discussion of initiatives in support of the Palestinian people.

“Open a humanitarian corridor immediately for Palestinian refugees in need of medical care and interventions”. This is the request made by the M5s regional deputy, Jose Marano, who spoke in the Chamber during the discussion at the Sicilian Regional Assembly of the motion on Gaza.

Addressing the government and the president of the Sicilian Region, Renato Schifani, MP Marano asked for intervention in support of the Palestinians: “Sicily – explained the MP – is a land of humanity and hospitality, it should take immediate action to provide assistance and care to the Palestinian people. It is necessary to give a concrete and timely contribution. The regional government cannot remain inert in the face of the genocide in which Rome is complicit with the sale and sending of weapons to Israel”.

"Faced with this humanitarian, health, social emergency - added Marano - we must be clear and take a clear position. It is ridiculous that the Italian government wants to mask this complicity by welcoming a few Palestinian children who were victims of a mass massacre. Italians want peace, this is the only objective for which the regional and national government, and therefore President Schifani and President Meloni, must fight".
