Elections in Albania, Prime Minister Edi Rama towards the fourth consecutive term. The Socialists exceed 50% of the consensus


Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama is heading for his fourth consecutive term. With more than a quarter of the votes counted, the Socialists led by the outgoing Prime Minister have a clear advantage with almost 53% against the 34.2 percent of the Democratic Party of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Compared to the previous elections, Rama's party would gain 9 seats, obtaining the best result ever and above all the possibility of controlling the absolute majority in parliament. The voter turnout was just over 42 percent.
