He ran for the Brothers of Italy party, and Minister Giuli appointed Maria Teresa Morelli to the Petruzzelli Palace.

A candidacy for the Brothers of Italy party. A position at the Petruzzelli Theater. Yesterday, the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, appointed the members of the boards of auditors of Italy's opera and symphony foundations. These positions are not merely superficial, but highly coveted: they are responsible, prestigious, and, compared to other similar positions, well-paid. Each board is composed of three professionals: a president representing the Court of Auditors, a member representing the Ministry of Economy (selected from among the executives), and one nominated by the Ministry of Culture. Yesterday, well behind schedule, Giuli completed the shortlist with his nominations.
In Bari, Maria Teresa Morelli, known as "Maesa," was nominated, as reported on the campaign leaflet for the last local elections. Morelli ran for city council on the Brothers of Italy ticket in 2019, receiving 176 votes, far from a possible election.
The position at Petruzzelli is her first high-profile assignment: close to the faction of Undersecretary Marcello Gemmato, she is a colleague and personal friend of the national president of the Order of Accountants, Elbano De Nuccio, a professional considered particularly close to the Meloni government.

This appointment concludes the new governance of the Petruzzelli Theatre. In recent days, the Ministry of Culture had also chosen the new superintendent : after much deliberation, the name finally settled on was Nazareno Carusi, formerly the Culture Director for Forza Italia but well-respected across the music world.
