Macerata-Loreto Pilgrimage, the Pope's 'spiritual closeness'

Pope Leo XIV assured his "spiritual closeness" to the participants of the 47th pilgrimage from Macerata to the papal sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto, a 28 kilometre walk that will start this evening and arrive at dawn in the Marian city on the theme "Where do you live? The house of the Hope". The Pontiff, through the Secretary of State of the Holy Cardinal Pietro Parolin, sent a message to particular addressed to Monsignor Giancarlo Vecerrica, bishop emeritus of the diocese of Fabriano-Matelica, who in 1978 was the creator, and to all the participants; it was read read in occasion of the mass preceding the beginning of the journey to the Center Villa Potenza fairs. "The Holy Father wishes to extend his good wishes greeting, assuring spiritual closeness to those who will take you part. - the message reads. Pope Leo XIV while exhorting has learn the humble and silent style of the Virgin Mother which in life to fix with confidence, the gaze on his son Jesus in every circumstance of life, hopes that this moment of prayer - continues the pontiff - arouses in each one new enthusiasm in the journey of Faith to become joyful witnesses and authentic of the Gospel with such vows". The Pope, in the message of the Cardinal Parolin, "heartily sends to your excellency and to all the participants the implored apostolic blessing".
