Marche heads to the polls: Meloni will be in Ancona on Monday, and Schlein will be in Urbania on Friday.

Ancona, July 30, 2025 - Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will be in Ancona on Monday . The prime minister's visit is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to attend the presentation of the government's development initiatives in the Marche region at the Orfeo Tamburi Auditorium. This is according to the government website.

Elly Schlein will be in Urbania (Pesaro Urbino) on Friday, August 1st, to open the Festa Democratica , one of those that has endured for over 50 years. The Democratic Party secretary will be on stage Friday at 6:30 pm alongside gubernatorial candidate Matteo Ricci to strengthen her candidacy and demonstrate the national party's support, even after the foster care scandal and the dark clouds over her relationship with the Five Star Movement. Schlein is expected to visit Fermignano first on Friday, but final confirmation is still pending. She will then take the stage in Urbania to cut the ribbon for this festival. "I contacted her on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this festival and sent her the book we created to preserve the memory of this event, so important for Urbania, which truly united so many generations," explains Giuseppe Lucarini, former mayor and coordinator of the Democratic Party in Durantino. "This is the first time a party secretary has visited our festival , and we will be ready to welcome her."

Meanwhile, today in the Marche region was Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè's day. At the Rotonda a Mare in Senigallia, together with Regional President Francesco Acquaroli and Mayor Marcello Olivetti, she presented the figures and key measures implemented by the Marche Region to support widespread, integrated, and sustainable tourism, based on quality and the coordinated promotion of the Marche region's identity.
