Meloni claims choice not to participate in volunteer summit: "We are not sending soldiers to Ukraine"

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni claims that she deliberately wanted to separate herself from the top of the willing because France and Great Britain, along with Poland and Germany , along with dozens of other states, would aim to deploy troops or offer direct military guarantees in the event of a truce and then peace in Ukraine. According to some, Meloni pulled out of the coalition of the Willing on the wave of emotion, in particular because of her atavistic idiosyncrasy with French President Macron and also because of her desire to remain anchored to a special relationship with the White House.
