This was reported in a joint statement published on the government website while the meeting between the two leaders is still underway at Palazzo Chigi. The meeting, it is explained, “focused attention on strengthening the already solid bilateral partnership between Italy and Argentina, founded on shared values and a deep historical-cultural bond between the two nations”.

Political dialogue, economic, trade and investment cooperation, as well as in the space sector, cooperation in strategic economic sectors, critical raw materials, in the judiciary, in security, in the field of culture, education and tourism, and cooperation in the field of social policies: these are all the priorities of the Action Plan.

The implementation of the planned activities will be coordinated by the respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs . The document, among other things, indicates the periodic convening of the mechanism of Bilateral Political Consultations to ensure continuity and follow-up of contacts at the top level. The aim is to establish a specific Working Group to facilitate the flow of investments between the two countries , to promote cooperation in key sectors for mining development and in the LNG field and to encourage interaction between Argentine and Italian companies. There is a commitment from Rome to facilitate the opening of a technology center in Neuquen , in central-western Argentina, for the training of specialized workers in the use of machinery for the energy and mining sector.

On the sidelines of the meeting, "the exchange ceremony of the agreement between Eni and YPF SA was held, in the presence of the two managing directors, relating to the ' Argentina LNG ' project, for the production, transportation, liquefaction and export of gas produced from the Vaca Muerta field", reads the joint Italy-Argentina statement.
