Municipality of Larino displays white sheet for Gaza victims

The Molise Municipality of Larino adheres to the national campaign "24 May - 50 thousand shrouds for Gaza", a symbolic and non-violent initiative aimed at commemorating the more than 50 thousand civilian victims of the conflict in the Gaza Strip Gaza. In solidarity and to raise awareness public on the ongoing humanitarian crisis, which involves thousands of children, a white sheet was displayed on the facade of Ducal Palace, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The white cloth, a symbol of mourning and piety, recalls the shrouds that wrap the victims in Gaza, becoming a visible gesture of condolences and denunciation. "As a municipal administration - declares the mayor, Pino Puchetti - we want to confirm our sensitivity towards the issues of peace, justice social and international solidarity, promoting the culture of inclusion and respect for human rights. We invite our fellow citizens, associations and activities commercial to display white sheets from windows and balconies or even a simple white banner outside the shops."
