Perhaps it's due to Elon Musk's initiative, perhaps it's due to the perennial need to represent the left-wing electorate. Voting trends

Perhaps it's the brainchild of Elon Musk , disgruntled and disappointed by US President Donald Trump 's "beautiful law," which he had decisively contributed to electing his new party to the White House. Perhaps it's the left-wing electorate, perpetually seeking credible and solid political representation, that is clearly ahead of the governing center-right . The latest SWG poll for TgLa7 , directed by Enrico Mentana, released on Monday, July 14, is dedicated to the idea of forming a new party.
Center-right voters feel represented: this can be seen by looking at the percentages by political affiliation. Only 27% of center-right voters consider the formation of a new party desirable. The percentages are much higher among the divided and fractious opposition : 49% in the center still seeking its dimension, 44% in the center-left, and 45% unsettled. A total of 39% consider the formation of a new party desirable, 28% believe the current ones are sufficient, and 33% hope for a change within the current formations. Overall, the offer does not satisfy Italians.

Brothers of Italy remains untouchable at the top, above 30% after a 0.2% gain. The other parties in the center-right majority are far behind. And this week, the internal majority derby is won by the League, overtaking Forza Italia: the League is at 8.3%, the Blues at 8%. On the opposition side, the Democratic Party is up just 0.2%, rising to 23%. The Five Star Movement is at 12.7%. The Greens and Left Alliance is stable at 6.8%.
Nothing to do for the centrists of the imploded former Third Pole: Carlo Calenda's Azione is at 3.5%, down 0.2%, while Matteo Renzi's Italia Viva remains stable but still at 2.2%. +Europa follows, stable at 1.9%. The generic "other lists" category has 3.3%. Thirty-three percent of respondents did not vote, a figure up 1% in a week, confirming the extremely high abstention rates at every election. The changes were calculated from the data from Monday, July 7th. This year, regional elections will take place in Veneto, Tuscany, Marche, Campania, and Puglia.
