In the wake of Giuseppe Conte's green light for Matteo Ricci's candidacy in the Marche region, despite the investigations targeting the former mayor of Pesaro, which in the past would have prompted a completely different reaction from the Five Star Movement, Campo Largo is in retreat, according to the latest Supermedia Youtrend polls for Agenzia Italia. Calabria will join Campania, Marche, Puglia, Tuscany, Valle d'Aosta, and Veneto following the resignation of governor Roberto Occhiuto.

While the daily agenda is dominated by international issues such as the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, the reported famine and genocide in the Gaza Strip, and US President Donald Trump's tariffs against everyone, upon returning from the summer break, the regional elections will be in full swing. Changes in voter turnout data have been measured since July 17.

Meanwhile, former Prime Minister and "people's advocate" Conte is smiling, gaining one percentage point with the M5S , rising to 13.5%.

The situation is more comfortable within the governing center-right majority , where Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni 's party remains firmly in the lead at 29.2%, while Brothers of Italy loses just 0.2%.
