Referendum, the Democratic Party protests at Rai headquarters: "Enough silence on the referendum, no to TeleMeloni"

The vote of June 8th and 9th
The secretary of the Democratic Party: "Rai must inform on how to vote, when to vote, and where to vote. We are here to shine a light on these referendums and on the lack of information on the part of the public service"

The Democratic Party yesterday organized protests in many Italian cities in front of the Rai headquarters. Several parliamentarians participated. At the picket in front of the Rai headquarters in Rome, the historic Via Teulada, in addition to several deputies and senators, there was also Elly Schlein. A banner was unfurled with the words “No to Tele Meloni” written in red paint.
The secretary of the Democratic Party said: " We are in front of the Rai here in Rome, as in many other cities in Italy, to say that voting is important, it is also a civic duty and citizens deserve information. The Rai must not tell you how to vote, but it must inform you about how to vote, when to vote, and where to vote . We are here to shine a light on these referendums and on the lack of information on the part of the public service" . Elly Schlein then called for the reform of the public service by incorporating the " Media Freedom Act" which must make the Rai independent. Elly Schlein recalled that this reform must be done by August 8, otherwise there is a risk of infringement proceedings by Europe.
