Remigration Summit, in Gallarate the summit that divides politics. Mayor: “Free to demonstrate”

The Remigration Summit , the controversial far-right rally on the topic of immigration, has been brought forward to 9 am at the Teatro Comunale in Gallarate, in the province of Varese. The invitation - for those who had purchased tickets - arrived by email at 6 am with the indication of the place and time, brought forward to 9 am from 2:30 pm as originally planned.
As the hours went by, the first information began to leak out. General Roberto Vannacci sent a video, apologizing for not being able to be present. “You have my support,” he said, adding that “remigration is not a slogan but a concrete proposal. It means putting Italians, Europeans, at the center. It is a battle for freedom and civilization, for security, which is the true divide between the right and the left.” Among the protagonists on stage there should have been Rasmus Paludan , the far-right Danish politician, known for having burned the Koran in public, who landed at Malpensa and was expelled for reasons of public order.

A demonstration that until a few days before was shrouded in mystery, at least on the location. Even the mayor, Andrea Cassani , had left open several hypotheses for the location, deferring the decision to the Prefecture. Politically, however, the meeting has raised controversy. The Democratic Party had defined it as a “duty” to prohibit a meeting “of racists who praise hatred and intolerance” while the leader of the League Matteo Salvini had replied: “We are not in the Soviet Union”.
"It was decided to hold this demonstration in Gallarate. The measures to ensure public order taken by the Police Headquarters and the Prefecture are impressive and adequate. I hope that everything goes well because it is right that everyone can express their ideas" commented the mayor.
The event - sold out for days, according to the organizers - is expected to attract participants from all over Europe: tickets start at 49 euros, basic version, up to 250 euros with "premium options" (meals and accommodation should be included).
