WATCH THE VIDEO SERVICE . With the votes of the majority, the abstention of the opposition with the exception of the vote against by Furio Honsell of Open Fvg, the V commission of the regional council approved the 2025 regional program for security. The document had been approved by the council in mid-May and now after the green light from the Cal and the Commission it will be definitively approved by the executive led by Massimiliano Fedriga.

The document drawn up by councilor Pierpaolo Roberti provides for an allocation of 7.5 million euros that will go mainly to local police forces for a total of 5 million for offices and equipment. There will be just under a million for tourist municipalities to finance steward services and subsidiary surveillance during periods of greatest influx. Particular attention will also be paid to the safety of vulnerable groups of the population: with 450 thousand euros, municipalities will be able to activate projects aimed at improving both perceived and actual safety in the most delicate urban contexts.

Roberti also emphasized the importance of video surveillance systems and license plate readings since many home thefts are linked to criminals who come from border areas.

To complete the picture, 100 thousand euros will be assigned to Automobile Clubs for road safety campaigns, while 450 thousand euros will go to Tpl Fvg to create, in synergy with the Prefectures, a regional plan aimed at ensuring safety in public transport.
