Separate resolutions for the opposition, M5s calls for 'stop rearmament'

Each opposition force will present its own resolution on the occasion of the communications of the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, this afternoon at the Chamber, in view of the European Council. Among the demands of the M5s is the "no" to European Union plan and increased defense spending for the NATO agreements, in addition to the condemnation of the US attack on Iran. The M5S resolution speaks of a "weak response from the international community, with the European Union at the forefront", which has not expressed "a clear condemnation of the US attack on Iranian nuclear infrastructure". "The European rearmament plan - it is still written in the M5S resolution - it sounds like a a real call to arms by the Commission European". Among the commitments that the M5s is asking the government, there are those to "immediately stop the supply of materials of armaments to the Ukrainian government authorities", to demonstrate "the Italian Government's firm opposition to the rearmament plan European Rearm Europe" and to "avoid any hypothesis of increase in defense and security spending in reference to achieving new NATO targets".
