Arezzo, May 21, 2025 – The Civic Festival of Scelgo Arezzo

The council group leader Marco Donati presented the second edition of the Civic Festival, an initiative promoted by Scelgo Arezzo and the civic lists that will support him in the next administrative elections: With Arezzo, We Today for Tomorrow. Appointment Saturday 24 May from 4:15 pm at the refreshment area of the Pertini park: after the speech by Marco Donati, there will be an interview by Luca Amodio with Gustavo De Santis, demographer of the University of Florence (The population of Arezzo and Tuscany - Where we are and where we are going) and an interview by Enrica Cherici with Andrea Fiori, president of the association Cuore di bimbo (Regional law proposal of popular initiative for the establishment of the pediatric medical guard).

"We are consolidating the debate with the citizens - Marco Donati underlined - in a public space that paves the way for the definition of the electoral program. And where do we start? After having chosen the theme of digitalization last year, this year we have opted for a topic that does not seem the most suitable for a Saturday in May. And instead everything starts from here, from demography and from questions such as: how much the population is aging, how many new births are there each year, how many young people leave the city to look for work elsewhere. It is clear that depending on the answers, the horizons of the policies must be modulated: we will need services for the elderly, childcare facilities adequate to the numbers and projects to reconcile school-work times for the benefit of parents, understanding how much companies struggle to find staff and keep up with innovation. The second topic is connected, we involved the City Council on it during the last session, now we need a leap at the regional level to allow Tuscan society to benefit from more widespread pediatric services, qualitatively and quantitatively".

With Marco Donati, the representatives of the civic groups Alessandro Meucci and Andrea Talanti: in unison they reiterated that "the journey has just begun. Others will join, ready to win next year".
