Pro-Russian hacker attacks continue for the fifth day in a row. The NoName057 group continues to hinder the websites of national bodies in the government, transport, financial, energy and defence sectors with Ddos (distributed denial of service) attacks that temporarily disable them through an anomalous wave of data traffic. Today's targets are the website of the Bank of Italy, Antitrust, the Leonardo defence group, the websites of the Transport Authority, Parmalat, Fininvest, Edison and the Consortium for Transport and Mobility of Cagliari. The National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) has informed and offered support by indicating the most effective mitigation measures for the attacks. It has also informed the postal police and the authorities.
This wave of hacker attacks began on Monday, claimed by the pro-Russian group NoName057 as a "punishment for Italy" linked to the words of Sergio Mattarella that ended up in the Kremlin's sights. In recent days , banks, airports and ministries have been hit. Yesterday, 20 Italian websites in the finance and weapons production sectors, but also national entities in the justice and transport sectors. After the support of the pro-Palestinian group Alixsec in last month's attack , NoName057 is now receiving support from the Serbian group Z-pentest , also pro-Russian, active for only two months, which has already claimed several attacks, for example that on a biogas company in Lombardy.
Despite the moves of the National Cybersecurity Agency to limit the damage and the words of President Bruno Frattasi , who spoke of a drop in the incidence of harm, from 19 to 15 percent, the number of attack episodes shows no sign of decreasing.
