Samsung Announces Galaxy Unpacked of New Foldables: What We'll See and When

Samsung Announces Galaxy Unpacked of New Foldables: What We'll See and When

Samsung has chosen Brooklyn , New York, for its summer Galaxy Unpacked , scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. ET (4:00 p.m. ET) .

The invitation, accompanied by the slogan “ Ultra Unfolds ”, suggests that the new foldable devices will be ultra-thin, light and with “Ultra” performance, presumably close to that of the Galaxy S Ultra line that has long distinguished the South Korean company's top-of-the-range – traditional – phones.

What will the new folding tables be like?

Among the expected novelties , the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7 stand out, two foldable devices that should be characterized by reduced bezels and larger displays than previous models, and by a new One UI 8 interface with integrated Galaxy AI .

The Fold?7 , according to rumors, could include an 8? internal display, a thickness of about 9?mm (when closed) and 4.5 mm (when open), Snapdragon?8?Elite processor and a photographic compartment that could reach up to 200?MP.

The Flip 7 is expected to feature a larger external display than before, an Exynos 2500 chip in some markets, and a more affordable “FE” (Fan Edition) model designed to appeal to a price-conscious audience.

Other news expected in Brooklyn

Samsung will almost certainly also present the Galaxy Watch 8 line, including Classic and Ultra versions, with more square shapes and - it is said - advanced health functions such as blood sugar monitoring (but the availability of this function on the Italian market remains unknown). The new Galaxy Buds , TWS headphones with enhanced AI functions, could also debut.

The surprise could be a first preview of the tri-fold smartphone that Samsung is working on, as well as new information on the futuristic Project Moohan , a mixed reality headset developed with Google that we already saw this year in San Jose, California, at the launch of the Galaxy S 25 series, and during the last Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Where to watch Galaxy Unpacked

The Brooklyn event, which will surely give a lot of space to artificial intelligence, will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel and on the Samsung website.
