ASD Ischia Sea Casting, island pride at the Italian Box Championship 2025

On a day that unites all Italians in the name of the Republic, ASD Ischia Sea Casting has written an important page in its young sporting history, officially debuting at the 2025 Italian Box Championship , a national sport fishing event that took place in the splendid setting of Porto Sant'Egidio, in the province of Fermo.

For the first time, the island association competed on a national stage, bringing with it enthusiasm, team spirit and more than promising results. Nine athletes in the race, representing an island that, also through sport, demonstrates grit and identity: Francesco Filogamo , Giosuè Coppola , Vito Mutri , Dimitry Olefirenko and his son Nikolas (Under 16 category), Valerio Vigorito , Vito Spinelli , Vitoantonio Iacono and the new entry Giuseppe Scotti , also among the Under 16s.

A united, determined group that gave a hard time to the opponents and was able to represent with honor the colors of the ASD Ischia Sea Casting. An experience lived intensely, which enriches the technical and human baggage of the participants, and which projects the association towards new ambitious challenges.

Justifiably absent but present with all his heart, President Mario Coppola , who nevertheless wanted to make his support felt for his athletes: "Today we celebrate Italy and its values. And we are proud to also carry the name of our island high, with respect, loyalty and passion for sport. Next year we will return even stronger, with the goal of the podium."
